LEHMAN COLLEGE DORMITORY
LEHMAN COLLEGE DORMITORY
Situated along the north and west edges of Lehman Field, this proposal introduces two buildings to house Lehman College students. A new grassy quad and connecting pathways link the campus to the residences, activating previously underused areas of the field.
On the west, the undergraduate residence emphasizes communal living, featuring a dining hall, a gym, and a thick corridor that accommodates study spaces. On the north, the graduate residence prioritizes privacy with apartment-style rooms. All units are thoughtfully rotated and incorporate Trombe walls to harness natural sunlight, while the residual spaces created by the rotation function as heat stacks for natural ventilation.
